In the Condoriri mountain group of the Cordillera Real, this glacier drains the mountains at the head of the valley below Pequeno Alpamayo. It has been in rapid retreat since the 1970's; the area from the right edge of the frame to the edge of the ice has been de-glaciated since that time.
