ILULISSAT ISFJORD, GREENLAND
March 8, 2008

Ilulissat Glacier has calved these icebergs into the waters of the Ilulissat Isfjord. The bergs are melting into the North Atlantic Ocean as they float through Disko Bay and continue out to sea. The Ilulissat Glacier is responsible for putting more ice into the global ocean than any other glacier in the northern hemisphere. The iceberg that sank the "Titanic" probably originated here.
