Keep our cameras running. Support EIS. The world is moving fast right now. The Earth's climate is changing much faster than anyone expected it would, even just a few years ago. Along with climate, the glaciers—the most visible canary in the global coalmine—are changing rapidly, too. Through the efforts of the Extreme Ice Survey, I believe we can make huge strides in getting our society up to speed in its understanding of nature and the human impact on nature. The time to capture images of these fantastic arctic and alpine landscapes is now. Deploying cameras...collecting imagery...creating video time-lapses...telling the glaciers' story to the public—it all requires an annual budget well into six figures. I hope we can count on you as a partner in this historic effort at this momentous time.
With best regards and with much gratitude,

James Balog Founder and Director Extreme Ice Survey
